Ultrasound is a safe and non-invasive imaging tool that allows us to examine your pet’s internal organs in real time. It is especially useful for assessing the abdomen, heart, soft tissues and pregnancy. Our veterinarians use ultrasound to help diagnose many conditions without the need for surgery.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your pet may need a small area shaved so we can obtain clear images. Most pets tolerate the procedure well and do not require sedation, although some very anxious pets may benefit from mild calming support. Your vet will explain the findings and discuss the next steps if further treatment or testing is needed.
