CONSULTATIONS & DIAGNOSTICS

CONSULTATIONS

CONSULTATIONS

At Narangba Vet, each consultation is tailored specifically for your pet. Our veterinarians will take the time to explain your pet’s health status, go through possible treatment options, and answer any questions you may have. We also discuss ways to keep your pet calm before, during, and after the visit so you feel supported and confident in the care decisions.

DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

Following the consultation, we may recommend further diagnostic testing to get a full understanding of your pet’s condition. Diagnostics allow us to form the most accurate assessment and create an effective treatment plan.

Our clinic features an in-house laboratory for blood tests and the analysis of body fluids, skin, and tissue samples. This enables us to quickly detect issues and begin treatment sooner. We also provide blood pressure checks and advanced imaging including radiography and ultrasonography, to examine internal health states.

Thanks to our in-house testing, we can often give you results within 24 hours. For more complex cases, we work closely with external referral centres and laboratories to ensure your pet receives the highest standard of care.

BLOOD TESTS

BLOOD TESTS

Blood tests are a vital tool for understanding your pet’s health. We recommend them when investigating health issues, during pre-anaesthetic checks, or for older pets to monitor age-related changes. With fast in-house testing, we can guide treatment decisions without delay. Your veterinarian will review results in context and advise on the best course of action.

BODY FLUIDS & TISSUE SAMPLES

BODY FLUIDS & TISSUE SAMPLES

Testing body fluids and tissue samples plays a key role in the diagnosis of conditions like infections, autoimmune disease, or cancer. At our clinic, we can analyse urine and faeces in-house, take swabs from wounds, ears, skin, or eyes, and perform biopsies of lumps or skin conditions. For complicated cases, we may send samples to external laboratories for specialist pathology input.

ADVANCED IMAGING

ADVANCED IMAGING

Should your veterinarian recommend advanced imaging, we offer high-quality radiography, soft tissue ultrasound, and cardiac ultrasound within the clinic. These diagnostics provide a clearer picture of your pet’s health, help monitor ongoing conditions, and assist in planning treatment. In some cases, sedation or general anaesthesia may be required to ensure your pet remains calm and safe during the procedure.
